This helps you and MSEDP understand your system well before any changes are made. The assessment also provides a documented baseline against which you can measure progress; implement new technologies and trouble shoot on an ongoing basis.

Network Installations

VPN

In addition to being connected to the internet, MSEDP's wireless services also allows a Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection, so that your network resources are available to your workforce through a secure internet connection.

Home users will also greatly benefit from wireless services: you can chat with friends through instant messages, get stock quotes, and more. Wireless internet services will work on laptop, palmtop, and handheld devices, so you have a large number of connectivity options.

Monthly Maintenance

MSEDP now offers an on-site monthly maintenance and technical support contract for your network and internal systems. Even though maintenance needs vary from business to business, MSEDP offer's a variety of services custom tailored to your organization. This monthly maintenance will minimize equipment downtime. MSEDP's Maintenance Contract will cover the following:

On initial survey we will create a blue print of entire network, which will be refundable with a one-year contract.

General Questions
• Do you have any problems?
• Does your PC shut down properly?
• Review procedures
• What are your future needs and wants?

Network and Equipment Map
• Mandatory purchase of Visio software
• Visio Software to be installed on your network server
• It will be maintained and updated by our technician's when they are onsite.
• Any changes to workstations, servers, printers, hubs, cabling will be updated.
• Log dates for upgrades; log checks, equipment changes, etc.

Security
• Internet login with Linksys; password protected
• Verify all work stations for automated virus scan and updates
• Review virus log
• Review accessibility on internet - What protection is in place?
• User rights by login
• Documents directory secured by login
• Review work station access on internet

Server
• Review error logs
• Remove third party software from server
• Centralize directories for word, excel, power point etc by user
• Clean up "My document directory" and move to server
• E-mail policies

• Review switches for error lights or collisions

Upgrade Software To Latest Version Levels
• Windows (98 and older) obsolete (windows 2000 or higher)
